0 A minimum of 17 wounded in Alabama bar shooting

A gunman carrying an assault rifle opened up fire early Tuesday in a bar in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, wounding a minimum of 17 people, four of these significantly, the city's police chief stated.
Police Chief Steven Anderson stated the shooter, who continued to be in particular, might have been focusing on someone.
"We believe it was not a random act," Anderson stated throughout a news conference in the police station. He walked up and was watching and watching people before he shot.

The grainy video shows a guy having a gun walking past a row of parked cars toward the Copper Top bar in downtown Tuscaloosa. The suspect, who police stated is whitened, having a sturdy build, made an appearance to possess a tattoo on his left arm.
Anderson stated the shooter left the scene by walking.
From the 17 people moved to DCH Regional Clinic for injuries associated with the shooting, the first is in very critical condition and three have been in critical condition, Anderson stated.
The main stated three from the wounded are students in the College of Alabama that is situated in Tuscaloosa. The bar is well-liked by university students and youthful professionals, based on police.
"We were all just shooting pool and hanging out," the Tuscaloosa News cited Riley Dunn, a College of Alabama senior, as saying.
Dunn experienced what he referred to like a shrapnel-like wound towards the leg.
"It was kind of loud from the music, but we heard the gun shot and no one really knew what to think. The first gunshot took place, then about 20 seconds later, then that's when he really started firing them off. After that everyone really scattered."
