Barfi! Isn’t the type of film that the debutante would chose as her first venture to go in the Hindi film industry, but Ileana D’Cruz required her chances? To be the greatest compensated actress of Southern film industry she possibly did leave her safe place when she made the decision to consider a job by which her character beautifully steps aside, helping the man she's deeply in love with find love from another girl.

The finest risk was possibly being a member of a movie that already had Priyanka Chopra inside a meaty role, and Ranbir Kapoor playing charge. Been with them been every other newcomer she may have gone undetected, but Ileana not just won hearts together with her sharp features and dreamy eyes, she also handled to become appreciated for any nuanced, balanced performance.

However, Ileana stated was very skeptical concerning the role initially.

“I was very worried as I wasn't confident that I possibly could make it off. I'm a westernised girl. After I heard that my role was occurring the seventies, I had been much more worried, his or her thought process and acting differs. I couldn’t have even taken inspiration from the other films or figures. But Anurag Basu led me throughout now I'm completely deeply in love with the way in which he's made the whole film and formed my role.
